Day 253

The interview at Staples went well. I need to have a second one before I can be hired. The only problem is the pay is only $9.10 and hour, and I calculated that I need to make $12 and hour to be able to pay all my bills, and have some spending money. I am still looking, but if they offer me a job, I will take it cause with dog sitting, I can make do...

Day 252

"At this, the guardian-redeemer said, “Then I cannot redeem it because I might endanger my own estate. You redeem it yourself. I cannot do it.” Ruth 4:6

I have a job interview at Staples today. It is about an eight minute walk from my new house, and is right beside my gym.

Day 251

"Then Boaz said, “On the day you buy the land from Naomi, you also acquire Ruth the Moabite, the dead man’s widow, in order to maintain the name of the dead with his property.” Ruth 4:5

See how he subtly threw that in there? He wanted Ruth, so he threw that in after letting the other guy know about the good stuff.

Off to church, then my "birthday party" Anna, Kristel, Yvi and I are going to "Mink" a chocolate place for fondue and smores as an early birthday as Kristel will be in Chicago for my actual birthday. (going to the gym as well...)

Day 250

Went to the hockey game last night. Vancouver giants vs. Calgary Hitmen. It was pretty fun, but we lost... (Vancouver)

Day 249

"Meanwhile Boaz went up to the town gate and sat down there just as the guardian-redeemer he had mentioned came along. Boaz said, “Come over here, my friend, and sit down.” So he went over and sat down." Ruth 4:1

I am dog sitting the most adorable 7 month old chocolate lab puppy. He is well behaved and cute, and trained. Off to a hockey game tonight, and more job searching on the weekend.

Day 248

"and added, “He gave me these six measures of barley, saying, ‘Don’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’”Then Naomi said, “Wait, my daughter, until you find out what happens. For the man will not rest until the matter is settled today.” Ruth 3:17-18

Day 247

"When Ruth came to her mother-in-law, Naomi asked, “How did it go, my daughter?” Then she told her everything Boaz had done for her" Ruth 3:16

I like this verse because Ruth has a confidant. Everyone needs someone they can talk to.

Saw "127 Hours" last night. It was good, but I have no idea why they were saying that people fainted and threw up. I have seen more gore/blood in Rambo movies.
