"Better to meet a bear robbed of her cubs than a fool in his folly." Proverbs 17:12
I chose this verse and random, but I like it.

Day 62
"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:1-2
I chose this verse because it was my devotions for this morning, and I am too tired to really look for anything else. I worked until 9:30 last night, and was looking forward to sleeping, but Nora and Adrian had some friends over until after 2am, and since the house is not soundproofed...Then I got up to watch the kids from 7am to 9am, so they could sleep in. I am going to try to have a nap now (I am missing church, but I think I would fall asleep, so after my nap, I will do my own service), then I have to work from 12 to 8:30. I doubt that I will be able to sleep now, because the playroom is right over my bed, and the kids have been running around (and Adrian is watching them now, so they will be silly, as kids are when their fathers are with them). But I need to try, or I will go crazy...

Day 61
"The Lord is close to the broken hearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed." Psalm 34:18
EDIT: Everyone is asking if I am okay, and saying that this is a depressing verse. I did not see it that way, and did not have time this morning to write more. I think that this verse shows His love for us. When we are depressed or sad, or crushed, no one wants to be around us. People tend to stop loving people that are depressed because they are no fun to be around. God does not give up on us. When people are depressed they push others away, and they go, God does not. I hope this makes people realize that I am not sad or depressed, but the opposite.

Day 60
"Forget the former things, do not dwell in the past." Isaiah 43:18
I think that everyone can learn from this verse. I have been thinking a lot about my time in Jasper, and if I made the right decision in not going back. Then I read this verse, and I know that that chapter in my life is over.

Day 59
"The borrower is slave to the lender" Proverbs 22: 7
I chose this verse because of it's truth. Anyone that has loans, or owes someone (whether a bank or a friend) knows that they will not be left alone until the money is gone.

Day 58
"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me." 1 Corinthians 13:11
I chose this verse because I was talking with my mom yesterday about fasting and praying to resolve some things in my life. I said that I had talked to everyone but God about it, and within minutes of fasting, praying and reading the bible, I felt peace about decisions I have been worrying about for months. Mom said that I had grown mature. I am not sure that this verse is fully true though (men never put childish things behind them ;) )
I am getting a lot of hours this week. I have the kids normal times (Nora has been home so far, although I think she is out tonight, and she will be Friday.) I will be working Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun at AW. Hopefully that will be my new set schedule. I am dog walking Tuesday and Wednesday for sure, and hopefully Thursday. I took Coco to see Shrek last night, and will be going sometime this week to take two of my friends out for their birthdays.

Day 57
"Do not gloat when your enemies fall; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice." Proverbs 24:13
I chose this verse because many of us are glad when we see our "enemy" brought down a peg or two. Whether it is someone we were jealous of, someone who was mean to us, someone we just never got a long with, we are glad to see them fail. It makes us happy, makes us think, ha, you got what you had coming for doing...to me. What kind of world will it be if that is what we teach our children? I don't like that person, so let's watch and laugh as they fail...is that the word we want?
