Fun Ride

Today Eric, Vicki and I went for a fun ride, as we all had the day off. We went to Old Fort Point, and went part way to the Valley of the Five Lakes to find Eric's knife (which he lost a few weeks ago). It was lots of fun.

Guns N Beer Night

Last night we had a Guns N Beer night. That is a night where we go out to a place in the middle of no where and shoot at targets. We had hamburgers, and steak. I had Pepsi while the others had beer (hence the name). It was really fun. We drove to near Brule, then hopped in the back of Eric's truck drove and drove for about twenty minutes down a bumpy road. I got to fire .22 and a 12 gauge shotgun. I actually managed to hit some beer bottles, and even hit half a beer bottle. Here are some pictures.

Gym

Vicki and I joined the gym! We went this morning. It is not as big as the Y that Tori and I were going to, but it will do. We are going to go 5 days a week before we work. (We will each have one of our days off to sleep in, and the other day we will be up early to go.) We have a key, so we can go any time we want. We are going to go at 7ish in the morning. That way we are there when no one else is, and we will have energy (as we will be too tired after work). It is my day off, so I am going to go to church, then maybe have a nap, and do my laundry. I may or may not have tomorrow off (I am supposed to, but the girl from New Zealand needs to go to B.C to get her car insurance, and I might get Friday off, and work tomorrow. That would be nice as Vicki and I would have the same day off, we could both sleep in, and go for a ride together. Well, I can't think of anything else so thats it for now.

Grizz

Yesterday, Jaimie and I went on the hour and a half ride. There was only two guests, but Jaimie was riding a horse in training so she came for the experience. We were about fifteen minutes from the end when Copper, my horse pricked up his ears. A bear walked out about twenty feet in front of us. I stopped my horse, and stood there waiting to see what the bear would do. I was radioing Dave to let him know that there was a bear, and the bear stood up on his hind legs. I was thinking oh no, cause they normally ignore us, but if he was standing up... He must have just been trying to get a better look, as he dropped back down and slowly started walking away. We waited a few minutes, then continued on the trail. He followed us parallel, for the next five or so minutes, then went down by the lake. Jaimie was excited because it was her first grizzly.

Roomate

I have a roommate now. Her name is Vicki. She is from Australia. She likes Pink, and Hello Kitty. I went for a fun ride today with Emilie (the girl from France). I rode Beaver, and she rode Petite. It was fun. Beaver was lazy, and did not want to run. Tonight I am going to see Night at the Museum 2 with Indianna (the manager) and Emilie. Eric has borrowed my Rambo movies, and I think he has never seen them before. That is all for now, I cannot think of much to say.

Trip to Jasper

Since mom apparently is not happy with me just telling her about my trip, I am going to blog it. We got to Jasper in the afternoon, and hung out at the barn for a little while. Then I got my room. We did not do too much that night. Over the next few days, we rode twice, hiked The Valley of the Five Lakes, went to Horseshoe lake, Edge of the World, spent half a day by Mount Robson B.C. Then we went to Drumheller to visit one of Tori's friends that she met in Paraguay. On the way to Drumheller, we saw several bears. While in Drumheller, we went to the Hoodos, the East Coulee museum, and the Passion Play site, while waiting for him to finish rehearsing (he is in the play). We stayed in a tent that night, and slept very well. We left early the next morning to go to Edmonton, where Tori met two more of her friends, then I dropped her off at the airport, and drove back to Jasper.

Jasper

I am in Jasper. I started work yesterday, and had to unload over 100 bales of hay from Dave's trailer and stack them in the barn. Tori's boss came to ride with her son, and they really enjoyed it (at least they said they did). So far it is not too busy here, we need to wait until school is out. Then the families will come to Jasper, and to ride. As of this moment, I do not have a roommate. Dave says that she will be here by June 15, which could mean that she will be here anytime between now and then. I have a sink in my room, which I have not had the last two years here. The only problem is that it is a co-ed cabin, and we have to share the bathroom with the guys. It is common to see guys running around in only towels, and to walk into the bathroom, and find the guys in a stall, peeing with the door open. I don't know if I can survive here, if that is what will be happening all summer, I liked my all girls cabin. I don't have any pictures yet so that is all for now.
