I chose this verse because I was wishing that when the earth flooded, and animals came to Noah to be saved, why did he not kill the pests? Why not kill the pill bugs (of which keep invading my room (found like 7 this morning alone)) or the mosquitoes (which now carry diseases, and are annoying in general) But then again, mosquitoes probably did not need the ark to survive...

Sure they did. The raindrops would have flattened them so they needed somewhere to escape them, rest and suck some blood, at least briefly before taking off again.
Many things eat the little bugs - including mossies. Bats, game fish, songbirds. Everything has its place.
