Day 10

"Why do you look at the speck of dust in someone else's eye, and pay no attention to the plank in your own?" Mathew 7:3

I chose this verse because when I look around the world, this is what I see. Everyone can manage to see other's faults, while no one sees their own. Everyone looks at the problems in their life, and puts blame elsewhere. For example, someone who loses their friends will say that their friends were not good enough friends, they were not loyal, they did not listen... but the real reason is that they were bossy...I am not sure if this makes sense, it is harder to put it into words, but it makes sense in my head.

Good verse and explanation. Unfortunately human nature makes us want to place the blame elsewhere and it is a struggle to see your own faults.

I try to not waste my time finding someone to blame things on. Things are what they are. I am who I am. Between those two things a lot can happen that is good and bad.

Some things just are and the only thing you have to figure out is how you are going to live with them or not live with them.

There is nothing to be gained by establishing who is to blame. It rarely solves the problem or changes the outcome.

Having said that, I'm not always that wise in my handling of specks.
