Day 22

"A wife of noble character is her husbands crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his boots." Proverbs 12:4

I chose this one, because looking at all the trash magazines in the stores, you can compare Michelle Obama to The real housewives of Orange county or whatever. Michelle gets praise for the things she wears, the things she says, the meetings she has. If you look at the other women, people watch them just because they are pathetic, you want to see what dumb thing they did next, they are good for a laugh. Which would you rather be?

Julian woke up yesterday with a cough. He went to school, and when he came home, he had a fever of 102 and his cough was worse. Adrian took him to the doctor, and he was prescribed an antibiotic. They gave him the antibiotic, and he threw up everywhere. Two hours later they took him to the hospital cause he was not better. Everyone is still in bed, so I don't know how he is this morning.

UPDATE
Julian just has croup, not an ear infection. He was throwing up cause of the fever and the antibiotic.

I remember many sleepless nights with Tori and Connor when they had croup. Not fun and I guess it doesn't get cold enough there to take him out.

Only problem I have with this verse is that it says "a wife" and it has been translated continually with that strong cultural flavour since it was first written.

I would prefer and it would be more instructive if it read "a woman"

A woman has worth entirely separate from a man and I think if we looked hard we may find that in the bible.

A fundamental problem I have with traditional religious doctrine.
