But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?"
I chose this verse because you never find out what happens to Jonah after he saves the city of Nineveh. He did not want the people to be saved, he wanted them to be destroyed, and in the end that could have destroyed his soul.

You forgot the verse - Jonah 4:10 & 11.
I was sure Jonah was slain by God but you are right there is no mention of what happened afterwards. But I found this "He remained in Ninevah outside of which we found his grave called Yunas mound", so we know where he died. Let's hope he developed compassion for the Ninevites.
