“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7
I think this is a big problem in this day and age (and in the last century leading up to now) No one "impresses" the commandments to their children anymore. People laugh it off when their children do something bad, or they say they will have time to learn that later. I think we need to be telling our children about the Bible, about the commandments, even just about rules in general, when they are young enough that it will imprint on them.
I am off to the dentist today, then we are having someone over to do facials, then church, Shermann goes home, two dogs to hike with, and cleaning the house tomorrow.

My devotions were along those lines too this week. One said to think of God's rules as orange pylons marking our way - meant to keep us safe, not to make us miserable.
